Temporary Closure of Dale Abbey Footpath 22
WHEN: 22nd January 2021 to 31st March 2021
WHERE: Close Public Footpath No.22 (part) Dale Abbey
Parish over the wooden boardwalk.
REASON: To facilitate public safety due to a rotten
boardwalk, the parts to repair the boardwalk have been
ordered and Derbyshire County Council are awaiting
delivery of these before it can be repaired.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From the North, Public
Footpath No.21 – Public Footpath No.26 – Public
Footpath No.28 – Public Footpath No.24 – Public
Footpath No.23. Vice Versa from the South.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on
the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as
soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience
caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section
14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to
prohibit its use by traffic.
